Our Story
Creations By Brian, LLC didn’t happen by accident. It all began in 1991 as Nuance Painting, Inc., a family business I started with my father, Mack, and older brother, Kevin. We began pressure washing and staining homes and decks in Northern Virginia, later expanding into trim installation, drywall repair, and custom painting. Over time, we built a strong reputation as a premier painting company in the area.
After marrying Amber in 1995, we started our family and, in 2002, decided to leave the D.C. area for Muskegon, MI. With over a decade of experience, I knew I couldn’t leave the trades, so with my father’s blessing, Creations By Brian, LLC was born. The business quickly grew, thanks to support from the local community. Over the years, we’ve expanded our team, service area, and expertise, bringing quality craftsmanship and passion to every project.
Our Family & Community
Amber and I have built not just a business, but a life centered around family and service. We are active members of Life Change Church in Muskegon and deeply involved in fostering and supporting children through Kids Belong, where Amber serves on the board. She has also mentored teens at The Hope Project and is a longtime member of the Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce, helping fundraise for local charities.
I’ve spent years volunteering as a soccer coach and serving on the CTC Construction Trades Advisory Board, mentoring students and even hiring interns to launch their careers in the trades. Thanks to the growth of Creations By Brian, LLC, Amber now works full-time as my Office Manager, helping us continue to serve our customers with excellence. In May 2025, we’ll celebrate 30 years of marriage, grateful for the journey we’ve had and excited for what’s ahead.

Bobby
With 20 years in trades, Bobby joined us 4 years ago. His love for structure makes him great at cabinet painting. He’s married to Shawna and has 3 daughters.

Noel grew up in the trades thanks to his dad. With 10 years of experience and nearly 5 years with us, he loves learning. He married Emma this past August.

A painter for 8 years, Keith joined in January. With 20+ years in construction, he built his own home. He’s married to Angela, and they have 4 kids.

We met at the Construction Trades Program on the Advisory Board. Jazmyn shadowed last fall, caught the painting bug, and officially joined our team in fall 2025
